Nastavení Outlook s MFA pro mobilní zařízení/en

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Instead of signing in with only your password, you must also verify your identity using another authentication method, such as a code generated on your mobile phone or biometric verification.

This significantly improves account security. Even if someone learns your password, they will not be able to access your account without your mobile device or another configured authentication method.

Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), open a private/incognito browser window on your computer and navigate to mojeheslo.upol.cz.

Sign in using your university account in the following format login@upol.cz and your university password.

Select Microsoft Authenticator as your authentication method.

You may register multiple Authenticator devices if needed (for example, both your smartphone and tablet).

The website will prompt you to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.

Android – Google Play Store iPhone – Apple App Store

After installing the application:

Click Next. Click Next again. A unique QR code will be generated.

It is recommended to allow notifications for the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Leave the QR code displayed on your computer screen and open the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device.

In the Microsoft Authenticator app, choose either:

Add work or school account, or Scan QR code

Scan the QR code displayed on your computer.

Your university account will be added to the Authenticator app.

Once the QR code has been scanned, return to your computer and click Next.

A numeric verification code will appear on your computer.

Enter this code into the Microsoft Authenticator app and confirm it.

When the verification is successful, the MFA setup is complete.

Nastavení další ověřovací metody

Doporučujeme nastavit ještě další ověřovací metodu, a to zasláním SMS zprávy.

Poté zadá své telefonní číslo a kliknete na tlačítko Další.

Následně vám přijde SMS s číselným kódem, který zadáte na počítači.

Nastavené metody ověřování

Takto bude vypadat stránka s mojeheslo.upol.cz s nastavenými metodami ověřování. Pokud zde uvidíte např. „Authenticator – Outlook mobile“, pak je to špatně! Metodu musíte odebrat (ideálně i odebrat účet v aplikaci Outlooku) a přidat znovu dle tohoto návodu.

Přihlášení do Outlooku

Stáhněte si z Google Play nebo App store Microsoft Outlook. Vyberte možnost Přidat nový účet.

Outlook buď najde váš účet dle toho, co je v Authenticatoru. V tom případě klikněte na Přidat účet.

Pokud účet nenabídne, pak zadejte své přihlašovací jméno ve formátu login@upol.cz a pikkněte na Přihlásit se. Následně budete přesměrováni do Authenticatoru, kde zadáte své heslo.

Authenticator vás buď přihlásí rovnou, popř. může chtít potvrdit, že se opravdu chcete přihlásit. V tom případě klikněte na Ano.

Následně budete přesměrováni do aplikace Outlook a budete přihlášeni do svého poštovního účtu.
