Computer Center
The Computer Centre of Palacký University secures conception, development and functioning of university activities in the sphere of information and communication technologies for support of research, education and administration of the university. The Centre is responsible for maintanance of university network, databases and software, introduces new technologies and provides support for academic and administrative use of the IT.
The main operation of the Computer Center is the provision of services related to the acquiring, processing and providing information especially using computer and communication technology in order to meet the needs of every part of Palacký University and even UP as a whole in the economic, operation, pedagogic, research and development, and study areas. Furthermore, it secures conception, development and functioning of university activities in the sphere of information and communication technologies for support of research, education and administration of the university. The Computer Center is responsible for maintanance of university network, databases and software, introduces new technologies and provides support for academic and administrative use of the IT.

FAQ
I want to log in to Portal, but I don't know my login. Where can I find it?
Students can find their login (Portal ID) in Contacts tab in portal or in Contract to borrow an Identification Card which is signed by every student when receiving the ID card at Computer Center. However, if you cannot find your name in Contacts and you do not have your Contract to borrow an Identification Card, please, contact Helpdesk at stag-help@upol.cz, or call +420 585 631 842 during office hours. Employees should receive their (Portal ID) from their computer network administrator, or at extension 1842 - Mrs. Čeplová. Furthermore, your user name is also printed on Contract to borrow an Identification Card.
I am going to sign up to portal for the first time, what password should I use?
If you are signing up for the first time, your password is your birth code without slash. Once you’ve signed in, portal will ask you to change your password, which should be at least eight characters long and should include at least one letter and one number.
Chci si heslo do portálu změnit na jiný tvar. Jak to mám udělat?
Po přihlášení na portal.upol.cz použijete portlet vpravo nahoře Upravit můj profil.Vyplníte stávající heslo, nové heslo a potvrdíte změnu. Nové heslo musí mít minimálně 8 znaků, z toho je alespoň 1 písmeno a 1 číslice.Další změna hesla je možná nejdříve po 6 minutách.
Jak se dostanu do své univerzitní mailové schránky?
Přihlásíte se do Portálu UPOL a kliknete na portlet E-mail >> Vstup do Webmailu . Logovací údaje jsou stejné jako do Portálu UPOL.
Zapomněl jsem heslo do portálu i do pošty. Jak takovou situaci řešit?
V tomto případě lze provést pouze reset hesla.Buď napíšete na adresu stag-help@upol.cz a připojíte ověřovací údaje – svůj login, adresu trvalého bydliště, rodné číslo nebo v pracovní dobu využijete servisní číslo 58 563 1842 a požádáte o reset hesla pracovníka CVT, nebo svého fakultního správce sítě.
Chtěl bych se připojit na UP do wifi sítě. Jak mám postupovat?
Přesný návod najdete na portal.upol.cz – Administrativa – Návody a nápovědy – Mobilní přístup na síť. Případně můžete konzultovat se správcem sítě fakulty, na které studujete.
Jak se liší SSID Eduroam, Eduroama a Eduroamg?
Bezdrátová síť eduroam využívá dva frekvenční rozsahy, které umožňují navýšení současně pracujících uživatelů.
- eduroam - vysílá na frekvenci 2,4 GHz a 5 GHz
- eduroama - vysílá na frekvenci 5 GHz
- eduroamg - vysílá na frekvenci 2,4 GHz
Pro nastavení sítě eduroama a eduroamg zůstávají v platnosti stejná pravidla, jako pro tradiční eduroam (s výjimkou názvu SSID). Pokud se uživateli nabízí více sítí, pak doporučujeme upřednostnit síť eduroama.
