Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), open a private/incognito browser window on your computer and navigate to mojeheslo.upol.cz.

Sign in using your university account in the following format login@upol.cz and your university password.

Select Microsoft Authenticator as your authentication method.

You may register multiple Authenticator devices if needed (for example, both your smartphone and tablet).

The website will prompt you to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.

Android – Google Play Store iPhone – Apple App Store

After installing the application:

Click Next. Click Next again. A unique QR code will be generated.

It is recommended to allow notifications for the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Leave the QR code displayed on your computer screen and open the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device.

In the Microsoft Authenticator app, choose either:

Add work or school account, or Scan QR code

Scan the QR code displayed on your computer.

Your university account will be added to the Authenticator app.

Once the QR code has been scanned, return to your computer and click Next.

A numeric verification code will appear on your computer.

Enter this code into the Microsoft Authenticator app and confirm it.

When the verification is successful, the MFA setup is complete.
