You can find all the basic necessary steps, which must be done before you can connect to UP WiFi network at the page with all the basic information regarding UP network. Please, continue only after finishing all the steps, or you will be unable to connect to the WiFi properly.

Before you start setting up WiFi, make sure you have set a password for Eduroam - the password for Eduroam or VPN is different from the password for the Portal - how to set a password can be found here Instructions for changing the password.

Open Settings → Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi. Select the eduroam network. In the connection settings, check the EAP method (PEAP) and Phase 2 authentication (MSCHAPv2).

In the Identity field, enter your PortalID@upol.cz and your Eduroam password (Click here for instructions on changing your password). Set the CA Certificate: Do not verify. Click Connect and you will be connected to the eduroam network.

Notice: Login is not an email address. For UP students, the user login will look like this: 20021111@upol.cz, dvorak04@upol.cz. For UP employees, the username will be the same as the login name for the portal, e.g. kocickov@upol.cz. Employees can find out their login name from the computer network administrator. If you have forgotten your Portal ID, please contact the Helpdesk - select Anonymous request - and select the category Forgotten login.
