You can usually access the UP computer network only from the premises of Palacký University. However, if you are abroad or you prefer to study at home then there is a solution for you. It's called VPN (Virtual Private Network). You can access the UP computer network from nearly any place in the world as if you were on the premises of UP. VPN allows you to search through databases and other information systems which are limited to the UP address space for licensing or security reasons.
