== Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) ==
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) means that a password alone is not enough to sign in. In addition to your password, you must verify your identity using another method, such as a code sent to your mobile phone. This significantly increases the security of your account. Even if someone obtains your password, they will not be able to access your account without your phone or another verification method.
When signing in, MFA requires not only your password but also an additional form of identity verification, such as a one-time code generated on your mobile device or biometric authentication. Many users are already familiar with MFA through online banking and other online services.
MFA is a security mechanism that significantly enhances the protection of user accounts, sensitive information, and access to university systems. Its primary purpose is to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, even if login credentials are compromised.
