Službu FileSender provozuje sdružení CESNET již nějakou dobu, ale bohužel o ní ví jen hrstka studentů a zaměstnanců Univerzity Palackého. Jedná se o akademickou verzi dnes velice populárních internetových úschoven. Odesílatelem zásilky musí být student nebo zaměstnanec UP, příjemcem však může být kdokoliv. Pro odeslání zásilky je proto třeba se přihlásit prostřednictvím portálového ID doplněného textem „@upol.cz” a stejné heslo jako do portálu UP.
FileSender is run by CESNET group for some time, yet not many students or employees are aware of such service. It is an academic version of popular sharing websites. Sender of a file must be a student of Palacký University or an employee of PU, but the file can be send to anyone. In order to send a file you have to log in using your Portal ID in format PortalID@upol.cz and your Portal password.


I když tato služba nevypadá moderně a atraktivně jako leckterá komerční prostředí, nabízí v mnoha ohledech zajímavé parametry. Následující tabulka srovnává FileSender a některé populární komerční služby (ve verzi zdarma k 6.1.2016).
Even though the service does not look very modern, it offers some very interesting parameters. Following table compares FileSender to some of the popular commercial services (free version dated 6.1.2016).
